Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Who We Are
We are a loving church. We are child-friendly. We are not fundamentalist, but definitely not liberal. If you come to our church, we will accept you as you are and teach you to see yourself as Jesus sees you. We will not embarrass you. We will not demand a commitment from you until you are ready. We will pray for you. We will encourage you to grow in Christ through orientation and "Alpha" courses and through the "Anglican Academy". We hope you will join us as we strive to be faithful Christians and to avail ourselves of all the benefits of our rich Anglican heritage. We strive to be relevant to our youth and to American culture, seeking always to make new disciples of Christ. Here you will find music, preaching and Christian fellowship to suit your entire family.

Three Streams Model
An Ancient/Modern Model for Being the Church
What kind of church are we? Catholics who visit say the liturgy is familiar. Evangelicals remark on the biblical preaching and teaching. Charismatics and Pentecostals are often surprised at the warmth of the worship and the openness to the Holy Spirit. What is going on here?
We are a blend of the three main streams of contemporary Christianity- Sacramental, Evangelical and Spirit filled. This model comes from the early Church, when Christians were not separated into denominations, but were part of an organic whole. The early Church had liturgy, creeds, traditions, the three orders of ordained ministry and the sacraments.
These elements of faith are some of the hallmarks of the sacramental stream. The early church also acknowledged the authority of Scripture, believed in the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and spread the good news of Jesus wherever they could. These elements of faith are the core of the evangelical stream. In addition to the above, the early church believed in the power of the Holy Spirit, and depended on the Spirit to guide the Church in making decisions, empower the Church in ministry, and inspire the Church in worship and prayer. These elements form the heart of the Spirit filled Stream.
Today we find a Church divided. Each stream has millions of adherents who are being blessed with the riches within their stream, but are missing out on blessings that are found in the other streams. Our parish is an experiment in Convergence - an attempt to be a congregation that will model a reunified Church. We hope to be an example of healing in a broken denominational landscape.

Our Mission
Our Mission is to make disciplesÝwho make disciples. We honor our Lord's Great Commandment and Great Commission. "Hear what our Lord Jesus saith, 'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all the heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.'" In the Great Commission, Jesus said "All authority has been given to me on Heaven and on Earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Ý
You will find in our parish that these principles are especially evident in outreach to the poor, devotion to foreign missions, and in making lifetime Christian disciples of every one of our members.
Core Values Statement:
We pray that the following "Core Values Statement" truly reflects where our values lie, and we pray that the Lord will reveal additions or corrections as we go forward.
We honor Biblical truth in worship, transformation and service:
- BIBLICAL TRUTH: We celebrate the Anglican understanding of the Holy Bible as being the "rule and ultimate understanding of faith." Orthodox preaching and teaching are valued here. Our common life reflects our best attempts to live out the biblical values of love, holiness, trust, thanksgiving and hope. Our prayer is that we would be orthodox in belief and liberal with love.
- WORSHIP: Our first purpose is worship- to glorify God in all we do. We express this purpose in the common worship of the Church, and seek to offer God worship that is excellent and sincere. Though styles of worship may vary, Word and Sacrament form the core of our communal service to God. Our prayer is that we would offer worship that glorifies God and builds up his people.
- TRANSFORMATION: We celebrate the Holy Spirit's work in our lives, transforming us from being lost in sin to being adopted through Christ Jesus as children of our Heavenly Father. We celebrate God's activity in giving us gifts of salvation, healing, reconciliation, and renewed minds. Therefore the ministries of prayer, healing, evangelism, and spiritual formation (educating both heart and mind) are essential. Our prayer is that we would be a community where lives are changed.
- SERVICE: We heartily acknowledge that we are blessed to be a blessing, and believe that we (as a body of Christ) are to continue the servant ministry of Jesus. We challenge every believer to discover his or her spiritual gifts and graces, to ask God for the will to serve, to say "yes!" to God's call to mission at home, community and the world, and then join God in his saving work. Our prayer is that we would, through a variety of gifts and callings, embody the vision of being a missionary community
